Winston Tackie is the Director of Policy and Advisory at Rewire–to–Build (RtB), a research and policy think tank and advisory firm committed to advancing sustainable, evidence-based solutions for Africa's development. In this role, he leads high-level policy design, strategic advisory work, and thought leadership focused on economic transformation, private sector development, and inclusive growth across the continent.

Winston is also an award-winning business broadcast journalist and economic analyst with over a decade of experience translating complex macroeconomic and financial trends into accessible insights that inform policy, investment, and public discourse. With a career that bridges the worlds of journalism, advisory, and advocacy, Winston is widely recognized for shaping impactful economic narratives grounded in data, equity, and real-world relevance.

At Rewire–to–Build (RtB), Winston brings a practitioner’s edge to policy innovation—combining media expertise, economic research, and stakeholder engagement to help governments, institutions, and development partners tackle Africa’s most pressing challenges with clarity and confidence.

Simultaneously, he continues to serve as a Business Broadcast Journalist with the Multimedia Group (Joy Business), where he anchors and produces business content for both radio and television. He co-hosts Beyond the Numbers, a data-driven current affairs program, and anchors the Joy Business Report on Joy 99.7 FM, delivering daily insights into Ghana’s financial markets, trade outlook, and economic policy.

Prior to this, Winston held key roles at Metro TV Ghana, where he led the Metro Business Dialogue and was named one of Ghana’s Top Ten Business TV Presenters in 2022. His career began at Business TV Africa, where he anchored Business Hub and Africa Business News, offering coverage across the continent on trade, investment, and market dynamics.

Winston is a frequent contributor and commentator on international platforms, including RT (Russia), Arise News (Nigeria), Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), and BBC Radio (UK).
