Samuel Tetteh Tei is a development economist, trade policy advisor, and systems thinker with a decade of experience driving market intelligence, policy research, and investment facilitation across emerging economies. He is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Rewire to Build, a research and policy think tank dedicated to transforming Africa’s development trajectory through actionable insights and inclusive dialogue.
With professional engagements across West, Central, and East Africa, Samuel has provided advisory and market entry support to over 15 value chains, shaping strategies for clients from Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Gulf. His portfolio includes consulting roles with organizations such as the International Trade Centre (ITC), Enterprise Singapore, Dubai International Chamber, Switzerland Global Enterprise, Advantage Austria and many more.
Samuel’s academic foundation combines Development Finance, Law, and Economics, equipping him with an interdisciplinary lens to evaluate the structural drivers of growth, inequality, and global integration. He also serves as a National Consultant for the ITC’s Youth in Cocoa initiative, supporting business development, training, and financial inclusion for youth-led enterprises in Ghana’s agricultural corridors.
A prolific contributor to the Business & Financial Times, Samuel’s policy commentaries dissect complex trade frameworks, investment policies, and environmental governance with clarity and depth.
At Rewire to Build, he spearheads the organization’s business development and strategic partnerships, crafting value-aligned collaborations with governments, think tanks, and international institutions. His leadership reflects a deep belief in African agency, regional collaboration, and the power of evidence-informed policymaking.
